“In every one of my pieces, I want to engender the full dynamic potential latent within the hot glass. Before I start, I can control the line and color of any given piece, but ultimately the form is a collaboration between my blowing skills and the forces of nature. I am always excited to see results as they happen. Then I know what the work is.”
Greg Owen first time attended Pilchuck Glass School in 1994 and two years later in Pratt Fine Arts Center encountered the great Lino Tagliapietra. Since then, he has been working and connecting with hot glass and its amazing properties in every possible level, not only as an artist, educator, but also lead emcee at Museum of Glass in Tacoma.
